Estimated purchase emissions are calculated from product type and weight metadata, with a spend-based fallback when weight is unavailable.
Credits are allocated from issued inventory lots. Orders are marked as carbon neutral only after retirement completion is recorded.
Retirement references and artifacts are retained in the app for auditability. Merchants are responsible for reviewing final public claim language with legal counsel before launch.
